Memorandum of Understanding with ISOC
We are pleased to announce that Qrator Labs has signed Memorandum of Understanding with the Internet Society. The Internet Society is a global non-profit organization, trusted as the world’s independent source of leadership for Internet policy, technology standards, and availability of the Internet. It has a global membership base of more than 50,000 individual members and more than 200 branches and member organizations worldwide.
One of the focus areas of the Internet Society is Routing Security and supporting a community lead initiative MANRS (Mutually Agreed Norms for Routing Security) aimed to eliminate routing outages and route leaks incidents. More than 100 network operators and Internet Exchange Points (IXPs) who implement the MANRS Actions committed to prevent spread of abnormal routes.
The MANRS project is based on a data collection and analysis systems. As part of the Memorandum of Understanding Qrator.Radar will provide the Internet Society with routing incidents data. Basing on the Qrator.Radar data source and other network security monitoring services the Internet Society will make analytical reports on incidents and inform operators about anomalies affecting network services quality not only in their networks but on the global scale.
The Internet Society will become the first user of our new historical data engine that can provide advanced data that covers not only the existence of an incident but also its propagation.
This data represents a crucial feature that helps distinguish local incidents without any influence on traffic from globally propagated anomalies. We plan to deliver this feature to all Qrator.Radar users at the beginning of the next year.
In the meanwhile, Qrator.Radar team wishes you Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
